1. Who is responsible for the data
Finance Lim, operated by Isaac Lim, is responsible for personal data collected through financelim.com for the purposes described in this notice.
This notice is intended to explain the collection, use, storage, disclosure and protection of personal data in the context of Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
2. What the website collects
Do not submit identification numbers, bank or policy account numbers, passwords or documents through the review form.
- Contact details you submit: name, mobile or WhatsApp number, optional email and preferred reply method.
- Review context you submit: goal, timeline, property stage, estimated property value and monthly commitments for mortgage or refinancing enquiries, or a short goal description for other enquiries.
- Basic technical and measurement data: page path, calculator type or review goal, CTA interactions, browser/device information and analytics identifiers produced by Google Analytics.
3. Why the data is used
- To assess and respond to a review request.
- To contact you through the method you selected.
- To prepare for a follow-up review and request only the information relevant to it.
- To operate, secure, diagnose and improve the website, calculators and enquiry journey.
- To meet applicable legal, regulatory or record-keeping obligations.
4. Sharing and service providers
Personal data is not sold. It may be processed by website hosting, abuse-prevention, form-delivery, email and communications providers used to operate the site and respond to the request. Information may later be shared with a bank, insurer, fund provider, legal or estate-planning provider only when relevant to the requested work and after the next step is discussed with you, or when disclosure is required by law.
Online service providers may process data outside Malaysia. Reasonable steps are taken to use providers and arrangements appropriate to the purpose and sensitivity of the data.
5. Analytics, cookies and URL safety
Analytics storage is denied unless you select ‘Allow analytics’. When allowed, Google Analytics may set or read analytics identifiers and record privacy-limited events. Finance Lim sends the event name, source page, general goal and context only. Contact details and financial values are deliberately excluded from analytics events.
Your analytics choice is stored in this browser. You can reopen Analytics choices from the footer at any time. Advertising storage, Google Signals and ad personalisation remain disabled even when analytics is allowed.
Cloudflare Turnstile processes a short-lived security token and browser or network signals to reduce scripted form abuse. The server verifies that token before a review request is delivered.
The review form sends its content in an encrypted HTTPS request body. It does not place contact or financial data in the page URL. A WhatsApp exit link, when available, contains only the verified destination number and no prefilled personal or financial message.
6. Retention and security
Review information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, provide agreed follow-up, maintain appropriate records and meet legal obligations. Access is limited to the people and providers that need it for those purposes.
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, but no internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
7. Your choices and requests
You may ask to access or correct personal data, withdraw consent for optional processing, or request deletion where the law permits. Use the private review form, choose ‘Not sure yet’, and state that the message is a privacy request. Identity may need to be verified before a request is completed.
8. Updates to this notice
This notice may be updated when the site, providers or legal obligations change. The effective date shown on this page will be revised when material changes are published.
